40 Days For Life
I am participating in an event called 40 Days for Life. 40 Days for Life is a peaceful and prayerful 40 day vigil held each fall near abortion clinics all around the United States . For 40 days, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week groups of 2 or more people stand across the street and pray quietly for the babies, mothers, fathers, technicians and doctors who have fallen victim to this satanic curse. Please read more about 40 Days for Life and the peaceful vigil that we conduct in hopes of ending this travesty. Jeremiah 1:5
This morning at the Fort Worth abortion clinic while praying and meditating reading the bible I found a reading that touched my soul. Please read the passage from The Book of Sirach below.
Our God Is An Awsome God
03.31.09
I have, with the grace of God, finally gathered a small group of Christian brothers and sisters who will sing and evangelize before church groups, prison groups, youth groups and any willing organization. With the Holy Spirit as our guide we will sing praise songs and witness on behalf of our majestic Father and his glorious Son. We will be making announcements in the near future as to when and where we will perform. We will call our endeavor the Our God Is An Awsome God Music Ministry. Keep us in your prayers!!!!
Passion Of Jesus Christ
As I watch Mel Gibsons The Passion Of the Christ I remembered to post the Passion narrative from Mathew;
Mathew 26-28 Remember, Easter is about the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. What a price to pay for our sins. What a love He had for his people, even those who killed him.

Palm Sunday
Today is Palm Sunday. This Christian feast commemorates the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem in the days before his Passion. This day is found in all four Canonical Gospels; Mark 11:1-11, Matthew 21:1-11, Luke 19:28-44, and John 12:12-19.
Just days later, the crowds turn on Jesus and he is crucified by the Romans at the behest of the scribes, chief priests and the Pharisees. More about the Passion Of Jesus Christ coming in the next few days.

Passing Note 03.19.09
I was on my way home from a client meeting yesterday when I rode by a strip club. (I was on my motorcycle) I briefly thought about the allure of what was happening inside when I saw a large billboard on the far side of the parking lot that was far lower than normal. In fact, the bottom of the billboard was about 10' off the ground. If you were in the parking lot you couldn't miss it. On the billboard there was a man sitting on the ground with his head down and face in his hands as if to say, how can I be so weak. WOW!!! At the bottom of the billboard was a website called something like, WithJesusAnythingIsPossible.ORG, or something like that. I could not find the website this morning, but I'll be back by there later this week and I will write it down when I see it. How ironic that in my moment of weakness that billboard was there to remind me of my Christian values! More ironic was at bible study last night we were studying the Epistles of John and in 1 John 2:15-17 (see Bible Verse of the Week below) it specifically states be careful about 'carnal allurements and enticements for the eye.' Thank you Lord for leading me away from this temptation.

Motorcycle Accident
A couple of weeks ago I was on my way to church on my motorcycle. I was stopped at a light waiting to make a left hand turn. I must have been "zoning" because when the light turned green (I didn't have a protected left turn) I turned in front of oncoming traffic!!!! I knew the second I saw the headlights just feet from me that I had made a mistake. I gunned the bike but instead of accelerating through the turn the bike lost traction and slid out from under me. I hit pavement with my left arm and left hip. Thankfully the truck saw me turning and stopped in time to avoid hitting me. I know God was with me in that moment. Other than a road rash on my left arm and a brusied hip (and a bruised ego) I was fine and so was the bike. With the help of the guy in the truck I got my bike up and rode it home. My wife and I said a rosary in thanks for surviving a motorcycle accident. You can never be too careful my friends. Ride safely and with GOD!!!!!!

Wedding
Our oldest daughter, Meghan, will be married on December 13. I wrote a song for her that I will sing as a surprise at her wedding reception when I give my "Daddy" toast. The name of the song is One More Song. I am truly blessed to have two beautiful daughters (and a very beautiful wife). Even though I traveled often during their younger years, we had a very rich relationship in all that we shared. This song speaks of only a few of the many experiences I was so blessed to share with them. The title was inspired by their request to sing them one more song each night when I would serenade them to sleep when they were very young. I have included the lyrics here on another page. I'll post the song later. One More Song.

My wife and I had the opportunity and privilege to attend a marriage seminar conducted by Dr. Gary and Barb Rosberg and hosted by the First Baptist Church in Plano, Texas on Saturday, September 27. Dr. Gary and Barb have a morning radio show on 91.7 the local DFW Christian radio station. It was quite an experience and I would highly recommend that any married couple attend one of their seminars. They will make you laugh and cry and hold your spouses hand more often and with more conviction. They are truly a delightful and spiritual couple with a wonderful God inspired ministry. Thanks Dr. Gary and Barb for a wonderful day.
06.26.08 Update
-Well I finally got a few pics uploaded from the ROT Rally in Austin. As I like to say, "I get by with a little help from my friends".
-I had a great time at the Styx/Boston concert. Three of my Jurassic Rock buds (my rock band mates) and I went Tuesday and I was able to take a few pics with my phone. The quality is not so good so I may not post these.
-I'm hoping to get together with my keyboard player (listen to My Love To You Is Forever) and finally get some of my new stuff recorded.

I went to Seekers to play Monday evening. It is essentially an open mic night. The format is a three songs or 15 minute time limit and the entire gig lasts about three hours. There are many young folks playing original songs. Some of them are blessed with beautiful voices. I am so impressed by these young people with all their talent. It is really a blessing to hear them singing and praising God through their music. BTW, I did not get there in time to grab a time slot so my wife and I stayed and listened for an hour. That in itself was very relaxing. Anyway, I will be there again next week, April 28 so check back for more details.

I noticed a large knot on my left forearm about 2 months ago. I had an MRI and the doctor recommended I have it removed sooner than later. He diagnosed it as a benign lymphoma, which means, thankfully, that it is not malignant. But it keeps growing. So, before it gets too complicated or starts to interfere with my ability to play my guitar he thought it best to be taken out. It will be removed on May 5. That said; keep me in your prayers. God has blessed me in so many ways. I know he will be there with me on that day.
04.18.08
Again, I have tentative plans to play at Seekers Coffee house on Monday, April 21. PLEASE check back here Monday for confirmation.

Within you lies a very special gift from God so allow Him to work through you so that you may be His special messenger. God can and will use you to your full potential if you give him a chance. I am currently working on three new songs. I have been quite busy with my new job and my rock band of late but I promise to get back to work and get these songs recorded as soon as possible. I have received several inquires as to when I will have a CD ready. Soon I hope. Writing a song is the easy part. What is difficult is finding the right musicians and coordinating practice and recording times. However, I am motivated by all the positive response from emails and the remarks folks leave on my Comments page regarding my songs. Thank you to all who visit and listen to my music over and over. Please spread the word. I’m not sure who you are, but I am certainly grateful for your loyalty to the message I am trying to convey. In the next few weeks I will try to establish a presence on uTube and MySpace.

I had the opportunity to visit the Beth-El Congregation, a Jewish Synagogue in Ft. Worth last night and participate in their Shabbat service. Shabbat is the weekly Sabbath or day of rest in Judaism, symbolizing the seventh day in Genesis, after the six days of creation. I learned quite a bit about the Jewish faith. Where salvation is the ulimate goal of Christian faiths Judaism has seldom, if ever, been monolithic in practice. It has always been monotheistic in theology. It differs from many religions in that central authority is not vested in a person or group, but in sacred texts and traditions. Throughout the ages, Judaism has clung to a number of religious principles, the most important of which is the belief in a single, omniscient, omnipotent, benevolent, transcendent God, who created the universe and continues to govern it. According to traditional Jewish belief, the God who created the world established a covenant with the Israelites, and revealed his laws and commandments to Moses on Mount Sinai in the form of the Torah, and the Jewish people are the descendants of the Israelites. The traditional practice of Judaism revolves around study and the observance of God's laws and commandments as written in the Torah and expounded in the Talmud.

The next time you feel like GOD can't use you, just remember...
Noah was a drunk, Abraham was too old, Isaac was a daydreamer, Jacob was a liar, Leah was ugly, Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem, Gideon was afraid, Samson had long hair and was a womanizer, Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young, David had an affair and was a murderer, Elijah was suicidal, Isaiah preached naked,
Jonah ran from God, Naomi was a widow, Job went bankrupt, Peter denied Christ, The Disciples fell asleep while praying,
Martha worried about everything, The Samaritan woman was divorced more than once, Zaccheus was too small, Paul was too religious, Timothy had an ulcer... AND Lazarus was dead!

You must hear this song by Mercy Me. It is on a CD called Almost There. What a beautiful way to praise our King of Kings!!!!!
I Can Only Imagine
I can only imagine
What it will be like
When I walk
By your side
I can only imagine
What my eyes will see
When your face
Is before me
I can only imagine
[CHORUS:]
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
When that day comes
And I find myself
Standing in the Son
I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever
Forever worship You
I can only imagine

The 23 Psalm: A Psalm of David
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

IMPORTANT UPDATE
The folks at 91.7, who host The Journey every morning Monday -Saturday, asked me for my CD. The radio host, Tom Dooley has a 2 hour show that runs from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and to 9:00AM Saturday. Sometime during the second hour Tom will give one of his awesome discourses about living the way of the Bible. During his dialogue he plays soft reflective music. He may be be playing some of my music next week. I can't say exactly what time he may play my music, but try to tune in while you are driving into work or while you are preparing for your day.. Regardless of whether he plays my music or not, you will enjoy a great modern day disciple of Jesus Christ.

Passages Of The Week
Matthew 19:24
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
Isaiah 41:13
For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
The REAL Christmas Story
Matthew 1:23
The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel
Luke 2 1-20
1In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2(This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3And everyone went to his own town to register.
4So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
The Shepherds and the Angels
8And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
15When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."
16So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
12.22.07 Christmas is fast approaching, prepare the way of the Lord.

I Corinthians 13 The Excellence of Love
If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Praise be the Prince of Peace, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Servant King. Blessed are they who live and love as Jesus taught us.
12.16.07 Toy Run
I'm off to the Dallas-Ft. Worth Toy Run with 90,000 other bikers this morning. The Toy Run benefits the Mental Health-Mental Retardation (MHMR) of Tarrant County, Dallas Metro Care, and other children's charities in the Metro-plex
Well I'm back. Whew, that was fun. My friends Mike and Wally, from church, invited me to do the Toy Run with them this year. It was definitely leather weather as the temps were in the low 30s when we left for Ft. Worth. There were thousands of bikes in downtown Ft. Worth. The Toy Run started at 1:00PM and we did not fire up our bikes until 1:35. It was almost 2:00 PM before we hit I-30 heading towards the Arlington Convention Center. I was amazed at the number of people out on the shoulder of I-30 cheering us on. It was so cool seeing all those bikes come together for the children. Jesus loved children (Mathew 19:13-14) and so did 50,000 bikers today. What a blessing to have participated in this event. Check out my pics ....

I heard Jesu, Joy of Mans Desire ..., with lyrics for the first time, so I decided to investigate and this is what I found.
Music: Johann Schop 1590-1664
Aranged: Johann Bach for his Cantata 147 in 1723
Words: Martin Janus. 1661
Jesu, joy of man’s desiring,
Holy wisdom, love most bright;
Drawn by Thee, our souls aspiring
Soar to uncreated light.
Word of God, our flesh that fashioned,
With the fire of life impassioned,
Striving still to truth unknown,
Soaring, dying round Thy throne.
Through the way where hope is guiding,
Hark, what peaceful music rings;
Where the flock, in Thee confiding,
Drink of joy from deathless springs.
Theirs is beauty’s fairest pleasure;
Theirs is wisdom’s holiest treasure.
Thou dost ever lead Thine own
In the love of joys unknown.
There no greater way to show reverance to God than to glorify him through his Son, Jesus Christ

I played at the Starbucks on Arbrook Ln. in south Arlington on 12.07.07. I played my new song, A Day In The Park (A Glorious Gift From God). Considering I struggled a bit with my new picking technique I received a very nice applause. I have been so blessed of late as I begin my music ministry journey. God speaks to me in ways I have never imagined; through my thoughts, through my friends and through my music. After I had finished playing A Day In The Park, I felt His grace come over me. As I continue my journey please pray for me that I might do honor and justice to His name and His word. As a friend once told me, Live, Laugh and Love, and to this adage I adjoin, 'Grow in the knowledge of the grace of God'.
12.05.07
God continues to speak to me though my friends. I am often reminded of who I am not. So much has happened over the past several months and have been humbled by my own selfishness. It is said that one must be broken to be saved. I know the love of God for me for I have been taken to my knees many times of late. I know that we are all human, but I must be a little more human than most. I pray always for peace and happiness for my close friends. I am blessed with their friendship and their love. Friends and family are truely a gift from God. Love one another without end. Serve one another without end. It is as God has asked us.
11.21.07
I wrote a new song in the night. I've been waking up around 2:00AM every morning for the past several weeks. Last night I felt compelled to write something new. Songs are like that. They just suddenly pop out. Anyway, I'm thinking about calling it A Day At The Park (Gods Glorious Gift). It kinda felt like one of those glorious days when the sun's warmth is just barely cutting through the cool crisp autume air. I'll try to have it recorded and posted before Christmas.
A Day at The Park ( A Glorious Gift from God) is one of my most recent songs. It conveys a sense of thankfulness for the gifts that God has given us. There are so many ways to celebrate those gifts, and for me one way is give glory to God through the talent He gave me. There is nothing like being in a nice quiet park on a cool fall afternoon with the slight breeze blowing your hair. I could play my guitar for hours in the solitude knowing that He is listening to me give Him honor and reverence. There are those moments when I can feel his grace come over me .... and that is worth everything in this world.
11.28.07
God and I had a long conversation as I rode my motorcycle a few weeks ago. We discussed the future and I understand now what he expects of me. I have been blessed in so many ways with friends and family that have supported me along the way. And now my Lord and Savior has directed me down a new path. We are all blessed with gifts from God and those gifts are to be used to glorify his name and to help others in need. And that is what I intend to do with all that he has given me. The peace that He has given me since that ride is quite amazing. If you put God first, so too will He put you first. Peace to all who seek his grace!!!
I'll be back with updates on my gigs in the next day or two. Thanks for checking in.

I recorded the guitar parts for three songs on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007. One them turned out so nice (thanks to Patrick McGuire Recording Inc.) that I may not add any additional instruments. I hope you enjoy these three songs called;
